Who is eligible for the Spring Covid-19 Booster?

• People aged 70 years and older

• Residents of long-term care facilities for older adults

• All aged 5 years and older who have a weak immune system


Following the most recent NIAC (National Immunisation Advisory Committee) advice, the HSE announced the Spring COVID-19 booster vaccine program for people aged 70 years and older, residents of long-term care facilities for older adults, and people aged 5 years and older with weak immune system.


When can I get my Covid-19 booster?

If you are eligible, you can get a COVID-19 booster from O’Flynn’s Pharmacy Monday-Friday from 10 AM-5 PM. This is a Walk-In service so no appointment is needed.


How long do I have to wait to get my Covid-19 Booster?

Those eligible must wait at least 3 months since their previous COVID-19 vaccine or since they have had a COVID-19 infection before getting the booster.


Why should I get my Covid booster now?

In line with NIAC guidance, we aim to complete this COVID-19 booster program by the end of May. This will allow for the period of time required for those getting their Spring COVID-19 booster to get their next booster dose in autumn, along with their flu vaccine.


Do I need to make an appointment?

You do not need an appointment. We are offering a walk-in booster service Monday to Friday from 10AM-5PM. 


What do I need to take with me?

Please make sure you bring your PPS number and photo ID.
