Calvin Klein

 

The launch of Calvin Klein's Obsession in 1985 – a seriously smoldering Oriental fusing peach, spices, sandalwood, orange blossom, amber, musk, civet, vanilla, incense and so much more, was the dawn of a new era in 'designer' fragrances. Calvin Klein launched Eternity in 1991. Eternity is a pure white floral perfume and aftershave.  Its fresh scent was the counterpoint to CK Obsession's rich, warm scent.

Calvin Klein developed Escape perfume with the message of 'getting out, being active, finding things in your life that transport you in a healthy way.' In 1991. Ck One: a first-of-its-kind unisex eau de toilette, kick-started a trend for a lighter, smore sheer, and more transparent fragrance. 

 

Calvin Klein's signature style – simple, wearable, and so-so stylish – continues to infuse their much-loved fragrances. In 2005, the voluptuous Euphoria made its debut, winning a Fragrance Foundation Award in its first year for 'Best Luxe Fragrance'. Dunhill

The Dunhill brand's first fragrance was produced in 1934. Dunhill launched Dunhill Icon fragrance in 2015. Dunhill Icon is a sleek and racy aftershave. The Italian bergamot and neroli absolute are fused with a pulse of black pepper, cardamom, and Provence lavender. 

 

Dunhill Icon Racing – a lively blend of citrus with a warming heart of orange blossom and vetiver rich, dry down was unveiled in 2017. Since then Dunhill has launched Dunhill London Century; a unisex scent with ultra-suave sandalwood and cardamom, alongside whispers of neroli and incense-like olibanum in the base.

 

Archetypically British, with an edge of derring-do, the name of Dunhill remains synonymous with a style that never dates.

The stunning, modern floral-fruity Coach EDP established coach as a major force in the world of perfumes. This scent is inspired by the spontaneous energy and chic downtown style of New York City. Abercrombie & Fitch

 

Most people think of Abercrombie & Fitch as a contemporary fashion house, but it actually opened in 1892. Abercrombie & Fitch has reinvented itself as a youthful lively 'preppy' brand. It appeals to a new generation of bright young people. 

 

While Abercrombie & Fitch launched its first aftershave in 1997, it was the release of Fierce for Men in 2002 that put them on the map. It features a fashion-forward floral bouquet of jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley on a herbaceous, woody base. 

 

The female perfume, meanwhile, is designed for strong young women who know what they want. First Instinct Blue Women is a scent for spirited and bright women. To quote the designer, it is a perfume for those "who always see blue in the sky no matter what". This scent contrasts salted sea air with creamy sandalwood, sunshine-filled jasmine, and dewy peonies rippled through ripe apricots and lush blackberries on the most addictive whipped vanilla and patchouli base.

 

First Instinct Blue Men is a contemporary take on 2016's First Instinct original scent. AZZARO

 

 

In 1975 Azzaro Couture fragrance was unveiled. This was followed in 1978 by the iconic and timeless arrival of Azzaro Pour Homme Aftershave. These fragrances reinvented the brand with a singular fresh spirit, blending the modern feel with a classic brand. An ethical brand -  using natural ingredients, selecting, partnering with, and supporting suppliers, building protected production chains, day after day, and guaranteeing fair compensation.

 

When Azzaro launched the WANTED Aftershave in 2016 for a rebellious man, it blended the notes of Guatemalan cardamom with Haitian vetiver on a background of Calabrian lemon and lime. 

 

Azzaro's Wanted Girl Perfume is a colorful explosion of the fresh, acidic pomegranate; containing an aphrodisiac ginger flower, adding even more radiance via orange blossom and ginger. Azzaro envisioned a delectable, alluring flower 'that rejects the constraints of seduction at face value'. He turned to Datura blossom to accomplish this. HUGO BOSS

 

Boss Fashion House dates back to the 1920s. It epitomizes exquisitely cut suits and tailoring. Hugo Boss scents have led the way for producing delicate perfumes & aftershaves with a fashionable twist.

 

Initially, its fragrances were designed for stylish, sophisticated, and strong men. In 1985 Boss launched its first truly contemporary Cologne for men Boss No.1 - this was a worldwide success and led to other fragrances being launched in the mid-1980s to early 1990s.

 

In 1997 Boss produced its perfume Hugo Woman. It is a warm, fruity fragrance evoking modern, independent women who weren't afraid to make their own rules – a concept the house still refers to.

 

Boss The Scent for Her perfume, has a beautifully enhanced feminine line-up, with notes of mandarin and famously animalic osmanthus flower, chosen to enrich the cocoa absolute and roasted tonka in the base. It is a scent  created to 'explore seduction in the digital age.'

Issey Miyake once said 'I do not possess the culture of fragrance, but rather the culture of scents.' This light-handed approach to fragrance sums up the essence of Issey Miyake perfumes and aftershaves.
