Cleaning our make-up brushes is such an important thing to do. Most don’t  as we think "well I am only using them on my own skin and I use the same shades and colours" but we have to think of all the dirt and pollution transferred onto our skin throughout the day and which then make it's way onto our brushes.

I know that it can be a hassle to get the time and energy to sit down and clean them but it really is quick and easy, by cleaning your brushes

  • it is going to get rid of any bacteria

  • and get rid of any build-up of product such as foundation

The product that I love cleaning my brushes with is the Dermalogica clearing skin wash. I find that that it gets rid of any excess product on my brushes leaving them really clean. As it is a cleanser for acne skin it is going to get rid of the bacteria that are living in my brushes and I know that they are going to be hygienic on my skin the next time that I use them.

How to clean

  • wet a sponge with luke-warm water

  • wet your brush making sure that they are completely wet do not wet above the handle as this can cause the brush to come apart at the top

  • dispense a small amount of the Dermalogica clearing skin wash to the sponge and with your brush rotate in circular motions to work up a good lather

  • rinse your brushes with luke-warm water making sure to get rid of all the product

  • squeeze out any excess water and lay your brushes flat to dry

It really is that quick and easy, Happy cleaning!
