HOW TO TAKE
Adults & children from 12 year of age: take 400mg with water up to a maximum dose of 1200mg per day. Do not give Ibuprofen Tablets to children under 12 years. Ibuprofen for Children have a separate range of products which are available for children from 3 months (weighing over 5kg) to 12 years of age.
This medicine is to be taken orally.
While taking Ibuprofen please consult your pharmacist if your symptoms get worse or the medicine seems not to work. You may have mis diagnosed your illness, there may be some underlying complication or you may require different treatment.
Use the lowest effective dose of ibuprofen to reduce undesirable effects
HOW LONG TO TAKE OVER THE COUNTER IBUPROFEN
For those between 12 and 18 years consult your pharmacist after three days of use of ibuprofen. With adults you should consult your pharmacist after using Self prescribed Ibuprofen for 10 days.
WHEN NOT TO TAKE IBUPROFEN
Do not take Ibuprofen without consulting your pharmacist if:
You have or have had a stomach ulcer or feel you have had symptoms of a stomach ulcer
You are allergic to ibuprofen, to any of the ingredients, or to aspirin or other related painkillers
You are taking other NSAID pain killers or aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg
You have or have had asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, raised blood pressure, a stroke or
symptoms of a stroke, kidney, heart, liver, or bowel issues
You smoke
You are pregnant or think you may be pregnant
You are over 70 years of age
You are taking other medicines
