How Naturtint Reflex Works

 A permanent dye contains hydrogen peroxide, which swells the hair and opens its outer layer, the cuticle, so colour can be driven deep inside and locked in for good.

Reflex has no peroxide at all. Instead of forcing its way inside, it works entirely on the surface: the henna and colour pigments coat the outside of each strand, a bit like a tinted glaze wrapping around the hair.

• Because it never opens the hair, it cannot damage it from the inside, which is what makes it gentle enough for a sensitive scalp.
• Because the colour sits on the surface, a little washes away with each shampoo, so it fades evenly over around 10 to 12 washes, roughly two to four weeks, with no hard line at the roots.
• And because it is a coating rather than a chemical reaction, it builds with use, so applying it more often gradually deepens the pigment.

How Much Grey Will Naturtint Reflex Cover

Reflex is designed to cover the early signs of fine grey, those first scattered greys at the temples or parting. It blends them softly into your natural shade so they are far less noticeable, and adds tone, depth and shine to hair that has looked dull.

What it is not built to do is cover a head that is heavily or stubbornly grey, simply because without peroxide to open the hair, it cannot deposit enough pigment to fully mask coarse, resistant grey.
