Naturtint Silver Gel Silver Grey (170 ml)

Colouring your hair at home should not mean choosing between a colour you love and a formula that punishes your scalp. Naturtint was built to give you both. This shade delivers a way to embrace and enhance natural grey and silver hair, evening out the tone and adding a healthy shine rather than covering it, using a permanent, ammonia-free formula that is enriched with plant and seed oils and made to pharmaceutical standards.
How Naturtint Permanent Colour Works
Like any true permanent colour, this one has to get inside the hair to cover grey for good, which means opening the hair's outer layer, the cuticle. Ordinary dyes use ammonia to blast it open, and that is what causes the smell, the scalp sting and the dryness. Naturtint uses a gentler alkaliser instead, with only the minimum peroxide needed to develop the colour, so the hair is opened kindly rather than forced. The colour is deposited deep inside the hair where it stays permanently, while plant and seed oils help protect the hair through the process.
How Much Grey Will Naturtint Cover
Being a true permanent colour, it gives up to 100% grey coverage, including stubborn grey, from the first application. If you are going over previously coloured hair, choose a shade the same depth or darker, as no permanent colour can lift an existing darker colour lighter.
The Natural Ingredients That Do the Work
Naturtint is enriched with active botanical ingredients that nourish and protect the hair while it is being coloured.
- A blend of plant and seed oils to help protect and condition the hair as the colour develops
- Naturally derived active ingredients chosen to keep hair soft and shining rather than dry and porous
Why the Formula Matters to You
- No ammonia, so there is no harsh smell and much less scalp irritation
- Only the minimum peroxide needed, so less of the drying and weakening that harsher dyes cause
- Free from parabens, and made without silicones, artificial fragrance and other ingredients many prefer to avoid
- Developed under dermatological control and suitable for sensitive scalps
The Story Behind Naturtint
Naturtint began in 1994 with one determined scientist. Maria del Pino Navarro, a dermo-pharmaceutical scientist and General Director of Laboratorios Phergal in Madrid, set out to develop an ammonia-free formula that would let people feel confident colouring their own hair. That pharmacist's mindset still defines the brand. Naturtint is made in Spain to pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice standards, developed under dermatological control, and it is vegan and never tested on animals. For a pharmacy shelf, that pedigree matters: this is haircare approached like a skincare formula, not a cosmetic afterthought.

A Few Things to Know
Always do a skin sensitivity test 48 hours before colouring, even if you have used it before. This is a simple patch test: dab a little of the product onto skin, usually behind the ear or on the inner elbow, leave it 48 hours without washing, and check for any redness, itching or swelling before you colour. Allergies can develop suddenly, even to a product you have used for years. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes. It contains ingredients that can cause a reaction in some people, so if you have reacted to a dye before, check with your doctor first.
