Oiamiga set out to make hair colour that feels good to use and good to buy into, and this shade delivers , the kind that looks like hair rather than a flat block of colour. It is a permanent colour from a British B Corp designed around gentleness, inclusivity and real environmental care.

    How Oiamiga Permanent Colour Works

To colour permanently, the hair's outer layer, the cuticle, has to be opened so colour can be deposited inside and stay there. Oiamiga does this without ammonia, using a gentler process, and it keeps PPD to the lowest effective level, which is unusual for a permanent colour and matters if your scalp is easily irritated. The result is a lasting colour that treats your hair with more care than a standard box dye.

How Much Grey Will Oiamiga Cover

As a permanent colour it covers grey properly, giving full coverage on natural shades. For the brighter and fashion shades, the vibrancy shows best on lighter or pre-lightened hair, since no permanent colour can lift dark hair lighter on its own. If in doubt about your starting colour, we are happy to advise.

    Why People Choose Oiamiga

    • Ammonia-free, with PPD kept to the lowest effective level, so it is gentler on the scalp
    • Vegan and cruelty-free, from a certified B Corporation
    • Packaged in 100% recycled and recyclable materials, with a tree planted for every 100 packs sold
    • Made to be genuinely for everyone, whoever they are

    The Oiamiga Story

Oiamiga, said oi-a-mee-ga, is a made-up word, a play on the Portuguese for hi, friend, and that idea is the heart of the brand. Made in Britain by Herb UK, Oiamiga launched to shake up a hair market long split by gender and narrow beauty norms, describing itself not as gender-free but gender-full, a range genuinely made for everyone. That welcoming spirit comes with real substance behind it. Oiamiga is a certified B Corporation, vegan and cruelty-free, packages in 100% recycled and recyclable materials, and plants a tree for every 100 packs sold. Choosing Oiamiga means choosing a brand that walks the walk on ethics and the planet.

    Who This Shade Is For

    • Anyone who wants a gentler permanent colour that still performs
    • People who care about vegan, cruelty-free and genuinely sustainable products
    • Anyone drawn to a brand that welcomes everyone rather than marketing by gender

How to Use Oiamiga Permanent Colour

    • Mix the colour and developer as directed on the pack
    • Apply to dry hair, working the colour evenly from roots to ends
    • Leave to develop for the time stated. Oiamiga's Rapid Activator can shorten processing, so follow the pack timing
    • Rinse thoroughly and follow with the conditioner provided

    A Few Things to Know

Always do a skin sensitivity test 48 hours before colouring, even if you have used it before. This is a simple patch test: dab a little of the product onto skin, usually behind the ear or on the inner elbow, leave it 48 hours without washing, and check for any redness, itching or swelling before you colour. Allergies can develop suddenly, even to a product you have used for years. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes. It contains ingredients that can cause a reaction in some people, so if you have reacted to a dye before, check with your doctor first.
