 Ireland’s leading expectorant cough syrup, Exputex effectively liquefies excess mucus allowing phlegm to be rapidly cleared from the chest, relieving congestion, and allowing clearer easier breathing. Supporting a more productive cough, that loosens the phlegm and mucus, it features Carbocisteine and the soothing action of Menthol that blends to soothe, clear, and comfort.

Directions for use:

• Adults and children 12 years and over: A 15ml dose up to three times a day, reducing to 10ml, three times daily when the mucus starts to lift.
• Children 6-12 years: Give one 5ml dose 2-3 times per day.
• Children 2-5 years: Give 2.5ml, two to three times a day.

Warnings:

• Do not take if allergic to Carbocisteine or any of the other ingredients in the solution.
• Do not take it if you suffer from stomach ulcers
• Stop taking Exputex Oral Solution and seek medical help immediately if you have any of the following which may be signs of an allergic reaction: difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe itching of the skin, with a red rash or raised bumps.

Ingredients:

• Exputex Oral Solution contains: the active ingredient: carbocisteine. Each 5ml spoonful of Exputex contains 250mg of carbocisteine. Other ingredients: levomenthol, ethanol (alcohol), saccharin sodium, sunset yellow FCF (E110), sodium ethyl para hydroxybenzoate (E215), sodium propyl para hydroxybenzoate (E217), sodium methyl para hydroxybenzoate (E219), citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, carmellose sodium, glycerol, orange flavour, condensed milk flavour and purified water.
